Hi! I’m Chris Gottlieb, wife, mama of two, and incredibly passionate about helping women find their STRONG and KEEP IT! Fitness has completely transformed my life. However, my journey was far from easy. Growing up, I struggled with low self-esteem and insecurity, especially because I was very thin during high school and early college. As stress and anxiety took over, I developed an eating disorder, which led to a 45-pound weight gain in my early twenties. That sudden change in my body left me feeling lost and alone. For six years, I battled with my ED and an unhealthy lifestyle. I was truly unhappy and had lost my true self. I didn’t know who I was anymore. I isolated myself from others and avoided social situations. My anxiety and depression were through the roof. I lost full control over my emotions and relationship with food, which led me down a cycle of extreme obsession—bingeing and calorie counting, restricting and feeling guilty. I lost motivation and hope that I would ever be happy again. Every diet or workout attempt ended in giving up as soon as I slipped up. My “all or nothing” approach, combined with my difficulty staying consistent, only made me feel worse. Then, one day, I had a life-changing Jesus moment. I realized I was done, done feeling sad, insecure, lonely, and depressed. Done with the obsessive struggle that was damaging my health and wasting years of my life. With that mindset shift, I started making small but meaningful changes. I learned healthier ways to cope with stress, began to heal my relationship with food, and developed a simple, effective fitness routine. Over time, I lost the weight I had gained, but most importantly, I found a sense of freedom and happiness I hadn’t experienced in years. In 2011, I found the love of my life and got married at 22. That same year, I became a mom, welcoming my son via a medicated natural delivery. In 2019, I welcomed my daughter via an emergency C-section, during which I gained 50 pounds and faced a challenging recovery, another defining moment that strengthened my commitment to helping women. My journey to emotional and physical wellness came full circle. I knew there had to be other women who felt like I once did; in need of hope, knowledge, and motivation. In 2016, I turned my passion into a career. After becoming a NASM-certified personal trainer, I created my business, Eat. Lift. Love. Training (ELL). In 2020, I expanded ELL to offer online training programs, empowering women worldwide to develop a healthy relationship with food, achieve their fitness goals, and build their confidence, helping them find their STRONG in every chapter of life.
